This study is an exploration of the use of social network analysis (SNA) as a tool in understanding the composition, reach and effectiveness of networks on policy issues.
IISD's Global Connectivity program's network of relationships in the domain of Internet governance was used as the basis for the experiment. While the study provided useful insights into the program's relationships on Internet governance, it also has provided both insights and caveats on SNA as a network monitoring and evaluation tool.
